Neusoft Medical Systems Ensures Imaging Continuity Following the Earthquake in Thailand
Release time:2025.4.02
A powerful 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025, with tremors causing significant damage across neighboring Thailand. In response, Neusoft Medical Systems' Thailand subsidiary swiftly deployed its service team to inspect and maintain medical equipment in affected areas, ensuring healthcare facilities could continue operations and support emergency response efforts.
On the day of the earthquake, Neusoft Medical Systems’ Thailand subsidiary quickly formed an emergency response team to assist hospitals in the affected areas. The team guided hospitals through emergency equipment procedures and worked closely with headquarters to develop a comprehensive post-disaster inspection plan. A thorough assessment of equipment damage across Thailand enabled efficient inspection routes, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
By April 1st, after confirming safety, Neusoft Medical Systems engineers began on-site inspections at Chulalongkorn Hospital, focusing on the NeuVision 680DR system, which had been temporarily halted due to the quake. Engineers conducted a full inspection, with a special focus on the tube movement function and scanning system, ensuring stable operation and imaging quality. On its first day back in service, the system successfully completed more than 10 patient exams. Ongoing inspections are progressing across other affected hospitals.
This earthquake response effort underscored Neusoft Medical Systems’ strategic advantage of a global network combined with local operations. Leveraging its local spare parts center and efficient logistics network, the Thailand subsidiary rapidly provided repair services and parts support to affected medical institutions to ensure uninterrupted equipment operation and strong support for front-line healthcare.
